About the Food
The
food that is delivered is prepared at Eastern Michigan University. We
rotate our menu on an eight-week calendar and plan all meals to be low
in salt and fat.
Every hot meal includes an entrée, with two vegetables, bread, milk, and either a dessert or fruit. We also offer a diabetic option. We regret that we cannot accommodate other special diets.
For those who would like to enjoy a second meal later in the day, we also offer the option of receiving a cold supplemental meal. This meal usually includes a sandwich or salad, bread, milk and dessert.
You can pick up Ensure plus at our office at the wholesale cost of $15 per case with a doctor's recommendation. We cannot guarantee to have all flavors at all times.
If you chose not to eat your meal while it is hot, please refrigerate it immediately. To reheat a meal, either put it in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or transfer the contents to a microwave dish and microwave it for 2-3 minutes. The aluminum tray is not microwave safe!
You may recycle the aluminum tray and throw away all other packaging
materials.
